I am a writer of poetry, short fiction, lesson plans, and grocery lists.  This blog is a challenge to myself to find a wider audience for my writing… “to put myself out there.”  I love  to write but it frequently gets pushed down to the bottom of my list of daily priorities.  I am trying to create time each day for my writing because it is my passion.

I sometimes feel like I am in one of those dreams where I am screaming at the top of my lungs but no one will listen.  Or in daily conversations I talk but I can tell the other person is just nodding along, not listening, waiting for their moment to interject.  And in the classroom I know my voice sounds the just like the teacher from Charlie Brown.  So thank you in advance for hearing me.

    1. Thank you so much. Love Julie Israel! I read your post about arts in education. I teach at a k-8 school that is fiercely determined to promote (hold on to) the arts. I look forward to reading more of your posts.

    1. It is said, “a picture’s worth a thousand words.” Sometimes when I need just one I look for inspiration. Thank you for your work. I will continue to look to you for inspiration.
