I read this article in May’s Real Simple magazine:

<a href=”http://www.realsimple.com/work-life/entertainment/great-books-00100000101474/index.html&#8221; title=”Real Simple: 50 Great Books That Will Change Your Life”></a>

The challenge was to name the book that had the most impact on your life. I asked my 8th grade students to put together their own list. (I have more than 50 students but some titles were repeats.) I found the resulting list interesting. If you haven’t read some of these books, you should check them out.

The only addition I will make to the list is the book that had the most impact on my life, Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein (I learned to read with Silverstein’s poems).
